Me and my blender

Yesterday was not a good day … Not for me … neither for my blender ….

The day before yesterday we bought a blender. I have always wanted one and when the baby is coming it might come in handy too. So, finally … we got a blender.

Yesterday I went to the market especially to get loads of fruit to make myself a lot of mixed fruitjuice ! It was quite a heavy load, but I made it home.  In the afternoon I did a lot of work making orange juice to mix it all with.

I was proud of myself … read that you have to keep the lid ON making sure the juice doesn’t splash all over the kitchen  (dûh ). There I went … all kinds of fruit and I was having a blast. Just 1 second and my yummie juice looked GREAT.

I was satisfied and … time to get the juice-can off and treat myself to a GREAT juice. I looked how it had to be done .. LEFT open, RIGHT close … pff EASY !  I take the can off and before I know it … all the JUICE splashes all over me, the kitchen and all stuff around the blender. Everything was covered in sticky juice !!

Still standing there, quite wet and sticky, still with the juice-can in my hands … I laughed and started to wonder why this had happened … I did it right, didn’t I ?

WHY DID THIS HAPPEN … well, I obviously managed to screw the can OFF ITS BOTTOM instead of just getting the can off completely. Obviously the bottom screws off the same way as how you have to get the can off the blender. THAT I found out ( the hard way ).

There I was … sticky kitchen … laugh disappearing … wet … starting to think off a lot of nasty words and most off all .. I was sooo pissed that there was NO juice left … all the work for nothing.

Detail : I have been cleaning the kitchen .. the floor for 45 minutes … doing laundry … washing the dishes … so, that was NO fun , making JUICE with my blender. 

Okay, my kitchen is clean again …. ( but for how long, right ??? )
